Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue) Best Quality

I actually had to buy two Bluetooth mouses/mice so it's a good comparison between this one and the Kensington Wireless Wireless Notebook Mouse.

This Logitech mouse is a lightweight mouse - even with the two AA batteries included amd installed.

Setup for a Mac could not be easier. Simply launch the BLUETOOTH SETUP in SYSTEM PREFERENCES. Click on mouse and setup and then at the appropriate time (with mouse on) click on DISCOVER underneath the mouse and the blue light will start flashing - your Mac setup should read something like DISCOVERING. Once it's paired, you are set.

Then go to the bottom of SYSTEM PREFERENCES and select the Logitech SYS PREF Controller APP. There seem to a lot of choices for configuring - frankly, a little too much - I did not really bother than adjusting the speed of the scroll wheel.

That is the one area that falls a little short in comparison to the Kensington. It scrolls a little chunkier and not quite as smooth. The Kensington also features a built-in web browser turbo scroller which may be available in the Logitech but is not auto setup - so more work is required there.

Both mice have a side hand rest area that fearures synthetic rubber - the Logitech is thinner with less material and no bevel.

The Kensington mouse is a more solid looking and more substantial feel but the Logitech is a nice optional choice depending on your wants and needs - as this mouse is lighter and is functionally fine. It's slightly less fancy and scrolls slightly slower but it is less costlier and slightly smaller and weighs less.

It's not as if the difference is night and day ... sort of like closing the door on a Mercedes versus a VW ... both fine cars, one slightly moreso (and a little costlier) so the bottom line is that personally I like the Kensington better. It's more substantial feeling, it scrolls seemingly smoother and the turbo web scrolling is great.

The Logitech is lighter and smaller with slightly chunkier scrolling and there may be other features there that match the Kensington, I don't really want to fiddle with mouse controls - have enough to do with my day - prefer plug and use :-) but still a very nice mouse.Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).
