Discount Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue)

I have a Macbook Pro, (pre-unibody) running Leopard 10.5.6. When installing the software for this mouse, the installer found a newer version which I downloaded and installed. The mouse ran ok most of the time, but occasionally it would become unresponsive and lock up the menu bar, and a hard shutdown was the only way to get it back. I really like the mouse and didn't want to return it, so after searching forums online I decided to uninstall the software (it has its own uninstaller). Fortunately the Mac's native drivers can handle the mouse just fine for all its default functions: left-click, right-click, regular scrolling, side to side, fast scrolling and center button zoom. The only advantage the software offered was the ability to program the buttons to do specific functions. Since letting Leopard run the mouse, it has worked without problems.

Pros:
1-Great shape and size; larger than most notebook mice, but still very portable. Its shape conforms nicely to the hand.
2-Tracks on any surface, even skin.
3-On/off button to conserve batteries (which are included, along with carrying pouch).
4-It fits perfectly on the space below the keyboard and next to the trackpad on my Mac.

Cons:
1-Buggy drivers at least for the Mac.
2-Tracking lags a bit. I've gotten used to it, but someone who requires really fast or precise clicking, like in gaming, would hate this mouse.
3-If I put the Mac to sleep, the mouse sometimes takes a bit to wake up. Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

Cheap Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue)

With this little guy I find myself actually using the touchpad on my Macbook more than using this mouse. For one thing the scroll is not the best. I can scroll up and down pages faster using the two finger scroll on the touchpad than this mouse will. Saying all that the movement is pretty good with the mouse. If you want the best stick with Logitech and get the VX Revolution if your on a laptop. It's not bluetooth but the scroll and movement is a lot smoother.Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

Buying Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue)

I bought this mouse two months ago and have been using it with a MacBook. The mouse has worked flawlessly. It tracks very well, turns on very quickly and the battery life is excellent. My first set of batteries has just run out and I use the mouse about 10 hours a day 5 days a week. I leave it turned on always and do not use the button under the mouse to turn it off, unless it is being placed in bag. I do not have large hands and so the size and ergonomics of the mouse is perfect. The software that comes with the mouse is pretty basic but does allow you make changes to the actions assigned to the buttons and the tracking speed. My only complaint is that getting the old batteries out was a bit difficult as they were in tight. Overall a great buy.Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

Buy Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue)

This mouse is great. Battery life seems good as I haven't had to change them out yet (2xAA). I forget to turn it off sometimes when it is not in use, but it must have some sort of power saving mechanism since the batteries haven't dies yet. My niece likes how the mouse matches the blue Asus EeePC. The software makes it easy to configure the buttons to browse the web (wheel tilts right/left). All around, this mouse is HOT!Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

This product is just what I was looking for. It works extremely well, including the fact that it uses the Mac's internal Blue Tooth system for communication. Also, very well designed. It was a pleasure to go thru the Amazon shopping process, reviewing the many options available and finding exactly what I needed. Order Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue)

The people behind these glowing reviews must live in a world of molasses.

Unfortunately I left my Razer Pro Click Mobile mouse in a different country and did not realize until it was much too late. Upon my return, I scavenged the house for a second Bluetooth mouse and found my wife's V470 in the closet. Bluetooth is bluetooth, right? Wrong.. this mouse is slow, laggy -- at least twice as sluggish as the Razer.

You may not notice on a 13" MacBook, but whereas with the Razer I had no complaints with my triple-head 17" MBP setup for work *OR* gaming, suddenly simple tasks such as selecting ONE STAR above must become carefully choreographed maneuvers.

.. svelte, beautiful, slow, flakey. Some men might dig this type of thing. I am not one of them. Shame on you, Logitech. Shame on you.

GRADE: HORRIBLE.Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

What a great little mouse..... using it with an iMac, which recognized it immediately. Works flawlessly. Sleeps when not needed, has very good battery life. I never realized how "large" my other mouse was until now... this fits in the hand perfectly and is much lighter and nicer to use.

Shop For Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue)

I bought this product to add to my Macbook and to add more availability to USB ports. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed by the tracking of this product. The speed at which the mouse tracks is unbalanced. For example, when I set the tracking speed in System Preferences to the lowest tick possible, you can barely move the mouse around the screen and in practice becomes unusable. If you move it one tick to the right, the track speed increases but it's still feels too fast. When you start targeting the objects on your screen, the pointer always ends up half centimeter above or below what you intended. This does not sound like much but it's terrible when you navigate your computer. The tracking is so disproportionate that when you move a window around, the window looks slightly choppy as you move it. This is due to the tracking of the mouse being far too sensitive. Trust me I don't have nervous hands! I plug in a wired / wireless mouse, or Mighty Mouse, and the tracking is on point. I don't know if this is something in Logitech's Bluetooth mice but I have the V450 Nano Cordless which I use on it and I love that thing. I just wanted a Bluetooth mouse of the same caliber to free up my USB ports. The V450 is more comfortable and accurate than this mouse but you lose a port but I still prefer to do that than to use this mouse. I don't recommend the V470 for Mac users.Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue) Review

I just installed this bluetooth mouse on my Dell XPS16 laptop and I couldn't be happier. This is the first bluetooth device I have ever worked with and its very impressive. The installation was a snap, just turn on the device and the computer recognizes the mouse almost instantly( no need to install the Logitech CD-ROM that is enclosed in the package). The responsiveness of the V470 is also excellent with absolutely no lag or delay when pointing and opening up files and navigating the internet. Best of all, NO RECEIVING DEVICE to take up a valuable USB port on your laptop.

Anyone who has bluetooth capability on their laptop should not hesitate in buying the Logitech V470 Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue) Top Quality

The mouse worked well, and paired easily with my Vista 64 laptop. It comes with Logitech's SetPoint software, but the mouse works fine without installing it if you are worried about software bloat slowing down your computer. The only need for installing the software would be if you want to do some non-standard mappings of the mouse buttons/wheel.
After using the mouse for a little over a year I had opportunity to put Logitech's warranty to the test recently, so here was my experience. My mouse died, and I went through the usual troubleshooting--replaced batteries, made sure the batteries worked in another device, made sure my computer's bluetooth could pair with other bluetooth devices. I discovered that I had lost my manual, so I went to look for one on the Logitech support web site. Couldn't find it. Sent an email to support asking where I could find it. They didn't tell me, but did open an incident and started asking a bunch of questions that I'd already answered in the original email. So I went through 2 weeks of back-and-forth emails with them trouble-shooting the problem. They finally decided it was just dead, but said they would replace it under warranty. My original hard-copy receipt had gone the way of the missing manual, so another week of back-and-forth ensued. They would only accept a .jpg or .pdf scan of the receipt so forwarding the email receipt wasn't acceptable. But when I scanned that email receipt and sent them a .jpg image of it, that was fine. A month after my first inquiry, I received a brand new mouse as replacement. End result: Support was a pain and not particularly helpful, but if you're willing to be patient and jump through all their hoops, they will honor their warranty.
I also have the Microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse, so can give you some product comparison (although I haven't had the opportunity to put MS support to the test). The Logitech mouse is larger than the MS, although still smaller than a standard mouse, so if you like a larger mouse that might push you to the Logitech. The larger size also allows the Logitech to use AA batteries versus the MS's AAA batteries. This gives the Logitech longer between changing the batteries, although I haven't done specific metrics to give you hard numbers on the difference. For the most part, ease of use and functionality are the same. The MS has an additional side button for those who think having more buttons is better on a mouse. All-in-all, given a choice between the two I'd just buy whichever is cheaper. Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue) This instant

Again, Logitech proved to me that they make the best mice in the market. I have all kinds of Logitech mice for different computers (ok, I have more computers than I need), several USB ones and this is the first bluetooth. I got this mouse because I need the USB port that my Nano USB is on.

It is exactly the same size as my Nano USB. It is super simple to pair with my laptop and functions the same way as the USB one. It took a little bit of work to adjust the mouse to my likings (scrolling, acceleration..), but I had to do that with all others too.

I noticed that when my laptop wakes up from sleep mode, it took may be a second for the mouse to respond, but it is no big deal. Like I said, only a second.Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).

Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue) Immediately

This is a sleek, stylish, perfectly-sized item that is very useful. Its roller is able to move side to side, which is more useful and effective than you may think. A battery meter allows you to tell when the battery is getting low. Bluetooth is certainly the way to go. All I have to do to activate the mouse is to click on it in my Bluetooth menu on my laptop. It's very simple. And having extra USB ports is very handy. For such a reasonable price, getting a bluetooth mouse, especially this one, is definitely worth it for a laptop, or even a desktop computer.Get more detail about Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue).
