I bought this mouse to replace the mouse pad on my laptop. The mouse itself works great. It is very smooth and responsive. I also like the back and forward buttons. However, if you are going to use this mouse for a laptop, the Mini-receiver will be annoying. It is a small receiver USB with a cord. If you could just plug the USB thumb into the computer without the receiver it would be much more convenient.
