One of my computers sits on an small coffee table that's covered in little mosaic tiles. I have always had to use a mouse pad for it, since the tiles throw off the tracking abilities of most mice. But not this one. The 5000 tracks perfectly across the tiles, a great convenience since this table has little room for a pad. The sensitivity is quite good, and it responds linearly to inputs. Scrolling action is OK, perhaps not quite fine enough for precision work, but certainly adequate. This will not replace a good wired mouse for precision graphics work or gaming, but as an all-around mouse that works on any surface, it excels.Get more detail about Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000.
