This mouse is very comfy and responsive. It works on various surfaces... right now I'm using it on a microsuede ottoman (no mousepad). I read complaints about the battery life and I haven't noticed any problems...I would recommend closing/folding it when not in use (I think that turns it off). It does take some getting used to because it moves very fast but I acclimated quickly. Get more detail about Microsoft Arc Mouse (White).
