Save iConcepts 5 Button Wired Laser Mouse - USB/PS2 (83050N)

First: the reviewer who had problems with the mouse action probably did not uninstall the Logitech software from his last mouse. I had the same problem, uninstalled, and then the mouse action was really excellent.

HOWEVER: The reason I bought this mouse is because I like having the extra buttons to copy/paste. But the mouse comes with no driver, nor does the manufacturer provide on one the website. Buttons 4 & 5 are "hardwired" to be the forward/back browser buttons. So I gave this mouse to my kids and ordered one with true 5-button functionality. Discount 3Dconnexion SpacePilot PRO - 3D motion controller - 31 button(s) - wired - USB

This will be my fourth version of this product starting with the LogiCAD3D SpaceBall, then the SpacePilot (the old top-of-the-line), then a SpaceNavigator at work, and now the newest top-of-the-line version, the SpacePilot Pro. The difference between this and my former workhouse, the SpacePilot, is that this latest version is more sensitive than any previous version I've owned, and it finally has the controls to allow it to be used on other applications beyond 3D design programs.

I'm still new to this version, and as it was with SpacePilot it takes awhile to get everything set up the way you want it and get used to using it. As far as CAD goes, I would never ever go back to the clunky controls that come with design programs, and this new version is smoother on-screen and more comfortable to use.

With a 3D motion controller, you use your regular mouse and keyboard in combination with the controller to rapidly and smoothly carry out multiple tasks at once. Productivity is enhanced greatly. As the Senior Applications Engineer / senior 3D Modeler at a large Ship Yard, I pushed for and obtained permission to supply all of our 3D modelers with these devices.

As for the newer features, I really like the preset views as it removes another set of mouse clicks from my design routine by putting those oft used commands at my fingertips. Above and below those view presets are some nice new motion filtering controls that come in very handy for showing designs to others by allowing super smooth rotation, pan & zoom, etc.

The old SpacePilot had a monochrome LCD screen, but all it did was tell you what the preset buttons did. This new one is a whole new animal. They call it the LCD Workflow assistant, and I think the name is quite appropriate. You now have 10 configurable buttons instead of six, but the part I like the best is the Mail Applet. It allows you to keep an eye on your email, task, and calendar right in the LCD screen -which is all I need most of the time. You can even have RSS feeds scroll through!

I use the Space Pilot Pro, Autodesk Inventor, and 3Ds Max Design to produce all of the free designs and tutorials you can find on my website at: [...]. Get more detail about 3Dconnexion SpacePilot PRO - 3D motion controller - 31 button(s) - wired - USB.

Cheapest Targus Notebook Wireless Rechargeable Optical Mouse

I bought this mouse more than two years ago and I really like it! I love that it's rechargeable and that you just plug in a USB cord to recharge while you're using it - it doesn't even disrupt your process. The down side is that you're using up an additional USB port (2 total) while charging, but I usually don't find it to be a problem for my purposes.

The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because the remote connector (or receiver thing-a-magig - I'm sooo not hip on the techno lingo) has stopped working. It's reacting like there's a short in it... it's just like the others are complaining about that the wires get disconnected because it flips up and down. That's a bummer to me, but I also think that working for 2 years before dying is pretty good - especially for the price (it lasted longer than cell phones do these days)! I think I'll buy another one because it was a pretty good mouse while it lasted and the price is right!Get more detail about Targus Notebook Wireless Rechargeable Optical Mouse.

Cheap iHome 5 Button Optical Notebook Mouse (Black)

I got this for my netbook when I'm traveling and it did take a long time to get here. This was the only retractable 5 button mouse I could find for the price I would pay...and it works awesome. But it's incredibly small, probably better for girls cause I could fit 2 of them in my palm lol.Get more detail about iHome 5 Button Optical Notebook Mouse (Black).

Buying Road Mice Wireless Corvette Mouse (Atomic Orange)

Since I'll never own a Corvette for real (too expensive and a LOT of trouble looking out for it!) I always love it when I can own a Corvette some other way. This little "car" zooms around my computer and gives me a road trip without leaving the house. I did have a little bit of trouble with some sort of "blip" once in awhile that would move the cursor somewhere besides where I had it. I believe this is due to the wireless aspect of it rather than it being a flaw in just this particular mouse, though. And it wasn't a big deal; I hardly noticed it after the first time (it happened maybe three times in an hour or so)and was back in place in a couple of seconds. I had no problems with it otherwise and really loved the look of the little car. I really like that the headlights come on when you click the mouse. One reviewer of the red version of this mouse said that his headlights wouldn't turn off, but this one has an on/off switch on the bottom of the car. And it looks MUCH more cool sitting on your desk than that boring little plain mouse. One caution though, if you have your computer in a high-traffic area and the USB plug-in is on the front or side near where people walk or stand, you need to know that the receiver on this little mouse sticks out 2.5 inches and would be fairly easy to hit and maybe break off if you walked by it too closely. Since I use it for my laptop only, it's not a problem for me, as my laptop isn't where I or anyone else would hit the receiver. But it is something to consider.Get more detail about Road Mice Wireless Corvette Mouse (Atomic Orange).

Buy Saitek Notebook Optical Mouse (Orange)

I bought this mouse for the color, which is very vibrant and looks great on my desk. However, I am very disappointed with the quality of the mouse. After using it for about 8 months, the shiny, clear finish is rubbing/scratching off with no real cause. Since its appearance is the big draw of this mouse, it's unfortunate that it's degrading so quickly.

Also, I was not expecting the mouse to glow, and periodically flash, so brightly, even when not in use. I am posting a picture of the mouse in the dark so that you can see how bright it is before you buy it. I found the bright light annoying at night.

Overall, I also wouldn't recommend this mouse for daily use the way I have been using it. It only has the two buttons and a scroll wheel, which is pretty stiff, so it doesn't have a lot of features or comfort to offer. It would probably be more practical and usable as a travel mouse, since it is too small for most adults' hands, and it wears out quickly. Order SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse (Black)

HORRIBLE. The mouse is smaller than you would think.
No palm support. Looks beefy like the sidewinder,
But It's low profile for a claw grip.

The adjustable Dpi didn't work. Not only that, but it would
also crash my machine. The dpi button and screen on the bottom
is just bad design.

Tracking was the worst I've ever seen. Even with their proprietary
Software. Just couldn't smooth it out enough.

I've tried every gaming mouse out there and will stick with my G9X.

Where To Buy HP KC979AA#ABA Wireless Laser Mouse (Cocoa)

I purchased this HP KC979AA#ABA Wireless Laser Mouse (Black & Silver Colour)
on Amazon a few days ago; so far it is working fine, I like the little USB laser sensor,
it fits snug at the rear of the mouse. This USB sensor also acts like a on off switch...
Vista recognises it;It works as plug and play, but if you install the included software
you can monitor the battery level

After a few days of use it I would give is a five starGet more detail about HP KC979AA#ABA Wireless Laser Mouse (Cocoa).

Mogo Presenter Mouse Pc

I've trashed two other mice over the past few years. I guess carrying them around with me all the time in an often overstuffed laptop bag isn't good for the little rodents.

This one takes some time to get used to, but it works on just about any clean surface and is always available for use -- I don't have to worry about misplacing OR recharging it. I don't know what the effective battery life is like yet, but I have used it for 30 minute mousing and 2 hour presentations without having it die on me.

Installation required no drivers for Windows XP, even though the OS detected that there was a new device in the PC card slot and wanted to load a driver (the manual says that you can safely ignore this). I was up and running in just a few minutes after letting it charge in the PC card slot for a little while. Standard Bluetooth pairing was required and was seamless.

I give a fair number of presentations, and the PowerPoint integration (Presentation Mode) has worked well so far -- I always had trouble with the specialized presentation devices that used a scrolling wheel like the older Blackberry devices. This one uses the left and right mouse buttons to advance or back up through slides. I would like it a little better if there was a way to keep the device flat when in Presentation mode, but the 'kickstand' used for mouse mode is also effectively the power switch for the device.

There is no scroll wheel. Instead, you hold the middle button and move the mouse to scroll like you would with a wheel. Again, this works fine, but takes a little time to train yourself to do it that way.

When I am at the office, I generally use a 'real' mouse, but when I am on the road, I can count on this mouse being there and being easier to work with than a trackpad for Visio diagrams or complex text editing.Get more detail about Mogo Presenter Mouse Pc.

Kensington 72414 PilotMouse Bluetooth Mini Mouse (PC/Mac) Review

I hsave read alot of the reviews about this mouse and what makes the whole concept of using a bluetooth mouse appealing is that there is no receiver (for netbooks and notebooks that have built in receivers) so that you end up freeing a sometimes otherwise useful USB port. As far as the mouse goes, make sure you read and fiollow the directions. I have had the mouse a little over 3 weeks now with no problems whatsoever and have never had to re-syncronize the mouse. Turn the on/offf switch to the on position, wait a moment and then click the left mouse button once- wait another second and the mouse gets connected and works great... That's all there is to it... Otherwise, I will say that the range is extremely short- less than 3 feet, so that may be a deciding factor you'll want to consider, but i will say that for me, it's just about perfect...
