Buying Kensington Pro Fit Retractable Mobile Mouse for Mac or PC (Black)
Pro's:
-The body is well made.
-Appearance is pleasing.
-No batteries to change or charge.
-Perfect travel size while still being big enough to use. (Some travel mice are so tiny you can't even rest your hand on them.)
Amazon must be measuring the box, the mouse is about
3.7 inches long
2.3 inches wide
1.4 inches tall
Con's:
-Thin cable. (I don't know how well the retractable cable will hold up. The cable is only 0.030" thick, 0.090" wide. I think they could have fit a beefier cable in it.)
-Center mouse button is hard to click.
I looked at a lot of mobile mice and have used more than a few. I don't think there is much out there better than this at the moment. At least not in this price range.

Buy Sony VGPBMS33/S Bluetooth? Laser Mouse
I have been using this bluetooth mouse for weeks now and i can only describe it in one word---Excellent. Excellent in terms of performance, easy connection with sony computer, its sleek looks and ergonomic design that perfectly fits on the palm. I am pleased with it and would NOT consider any other brand if for example, i loose it. The only factor that may deter a buyer may be it's price. (cos i found out that it is more expensive than most brands). Nevertheless--IT IS WORTH THE PRICE. I recommend it.Get more detail about Sony VGPBMS33/S Bluetooth? Laser Mouse.

Order Ge Optical Mouse
This GE wired optical mouse worked fine for a few months. It was much nicer than the old non-optical mouse it replaced, although it's your basic mouse. The motion was good, and the wheel and buttons worked fine for a while.
However, after three or four months, almost every click started registering as a double click in Windows. I found that if I held the button down for half a second, I could usually, but not always, get it to single-click. But it was too inconvenient to have to think about every click. I replaced the GE mouse with a Microsoft optical mouse, and everything is happy again.
This mouse is priced cheaply, but it is also made cheaply. I rate it two stars instead of one because it worked so nicely for a while and was priced right.Get more detail about Ge Optical Mouse.
Where To Buy Kensington 72239 PilotMouse Wireless Laser USB Mini Mouse (PC)
I purchased this mouse because it was just what I wanted and it does just as it says. The reason that you can turn it off without removing it from the USB port is a big plus. When you hold it in your hand it fits like it was made for you. I recommend it for anyone who likes a mouse that seems to use very little battery draw also.Get more detail about Kensington 72239 PilotMouse Wireless Laser USB Mini Mouse (PC).

Shop For Evoluent Vertical Mouse Optical
Some people have noted elsewhere that the Evoluent Vertical Mouse can develop a problem with the scroll wheel. The problem occurs when the rubber ring separates from the metal part of the wheel. The ring moves under your finger, but the wheel itself does not. When that happens, scrolling becomes maddeningly erratic.
This is easy to fix with a couple of drops of gel-type superglue. Use your fingernail to pry up a part of the rubber, and put a drop between the rubber and the wheel. Rotate the wheel, and repeat in a few more spots. Then let it dry for a bit.
I've not had any problems with the driver. I suspect that the problems that others have had arise from conflicts with other stuff on their systems. Might be possible to work around, with a clean install of the operating system. Not difficult, but can be time-consuming.
Other than the mouse wheel problem, this mouse has worked very well. Get more detail about Evoluent Vertical Mouse Optical.
Pocketmouse Pro Wireless Laser USB Mouse
The cursor movements are slightly jumpy and erratic. Replacing the batteries was frustrating, as the latch to open it frequently was jammed and difficult to open. I ended up replacing it simply for that alone.Get more detail about Pocketmouse Pro Wireless Laser USB Mouse.

HP Wireless Comfort Mobile Mouse (Ruby) Review
When traveling last week, I was trying to work on my laptop in prep for class I was teaching. I stopped and purchased this HP Ruby Mouse (wish I could have ordered it from Amazon and saved $10) to help me on the road. I found several things of great value:
1) The receiver that plugs into the usb port was so much better than the one I had been using. It is so small that I do not really need to unplug it when traveling. It doesn't "poke" out like the other one. 2) This mouse has some distance to it. I used it to present to my class a PowerPoint presentation and could walk away from the laptop, click the button (while holding it in my hand with out a table and up to 10 feet away) and advance the slide... very handy! 3) The very cool color. I refer to it now as my mouse with "racing strips." Get more detail about HP Wireless Comfort Mobile Mouse (Ruby).

i-rocks Superman Optical Mouse (Silver) This instant
I PURCHASED THIS MOUSE TO REPLACE A GE DUAL SCROLL 4 BUTTON MODEL THAT DIED.
AT LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE THIS I-ROCKS MOUSE ROCKS! TRACKING IS
FAST AND ACCURATE. EVEN THOUGH I ONLY HAVE 5" WIDE MOUSING AREA I CAN EASILY MOVE TO ANYWHERE ON MY 17" WIDE SCREEN. ALL OF THE 4 BUTTONS RESPOND EASILY WITH DISTINCT CLICK.THE SIDE PAGE FORWARD AND BACK BUTTONS ARE MY FAVORITE FEATURE SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO MOVE THE MOUSE UP TO LEFT HAND CORNER OF THE PAGE TO NAVIGATE TO THE PREVIOUS PAGE OR PAGES TO REVIEW INFORMATION. I'VE USED IT 3 MONTHS NOW AND STILL WORKSLIKE NEW! THE DESIGN FITS THE HAND NICELY FOR RIGHT HAND USE. THE SIZE IS MEDIUM, NOT TOO BIG FOR A SMALL WOMAN OR TOO SMALL FOR A MAN. THE BOTTOM GLIDE PADS ALLOW EASY MOVEMENT ON A CLOTH/FOAM MOUSE PAD,BUT STAYS PUT WHERE YOU
LEAVE IT. I'M RUNNING WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM AND INSTALLATION WAS A BREEZE.-
JUST PLUG IT IN! NO SOFTWARE OR DRIVERS TO INSTALL!Get more detail about i-rocks Superman Optical Mouse (Silver).
Micro Innovations Micro Comfort PS/2 Mouse PD39P Immediately
I purchased one of these a long time ago from Circuit City, and was not pleased. Not only is it small and barely ergonomic, it has no scrollwheel and is an ugly color. Beige is something that might have looked good back in the 90s when all computers were that color, but today, it clashes horribly with the blacks, silvers, and aluminums of today's PCs.Get more detail about Micro Innovations Micro Comfort PS/2 Mouse PD39P.

Microsoft Habu Laser Gaming Mouse (Black) Best Quality
I have owned this mouse for about 6 months now and have played plenty of games on it. Overall the construction is great except the feet have started to come off on the edges (and yes I DO use an adequately sized mouse pad). There is no sidescrolling on the wheel which is another minus for me. My main problem is that the mouse has recently developed a double-clicking issue where I click only once yet the mouse outputs two clicks. Needless to say this is extremely annoying and intolerable on any mouse. Yes I do play a lot of games where clicking is required but my Logitech G5 has lasted around 2 years now and is still going strong.
In my experience Microsoft mice always junk out after a couple months... My advice is to get a Logitech instead.Get more detail about Microsoft Habu Laser Gaming Mouse (Black).
Road Mice Wireless Ford GT Series Red with White Stripes Mouse Get it now!
If you love the Ford GT and want to have one on your desk that doesn't just sit there, then this is a good product. If you are looking for a great mouse in an interesting shape, then you might want to look elsewhere.
The shape is a great replica of the Ford GT shape, and the paint, markings and detail are all quite nice.
But, there are some issues regarding the operation that result in the 2-star rating. Most significant is lack of range. Paperwork promises ~1.5 meters, but on my desk I could not get it to work even within ~40cm. I had to put the receiver within about 20cm (6-8 in.) to get it to work properly. This could be an issue if your USB port is not near your mouse space.
Contrary to the pictures, the headlights only light when you click, not remaining on all the time as the advertising leads you to believe. So the options are 'off' and 'flash lights when clicking', not 'on' and 'off' as the paperwork states.
The accuracy is fine and wheel movement is as expected. As a mouse, it works fine (when in range).
The paint stripe on the hood wore off after only 2 weeks of use, so it may not be the most durable decals or decorations...
It has pads that the mouse rests on, instead of riding on the wheels. This makes the mouse movement very smooth. But there are 4 pads and on my mouse they are slightly uneven, so it rocks some when you right-click (like an uneven table at a cafe). Not a big issue, but picky people may find this a reason to complain.Get more detail about Road Mice Wireless Ford GT Series Red with White Stripes Mouse.

Visiontek XG6 3D Gamer Mouse 3D High Resolution Laser Mouse Buy Now
GAMES:
This mouse is somewhat good for games, but in a FPS game, like Quke, I feel like it's better to use keyboard, unless you are chatting while moving.
3D model:
for a 3D modeling apilication, it only support 3D max and SketchUp, I use Rhino a lot, but seems not working. The in-box driver doen't support SketchUp, you should uninstall it, and use this one instead:http://sandiotech.com/downloads.php and then install the plug-in for sketchUp: http://sandiotech.com/downloads/index.php?act=category&id=18 it take me several hours to search for the solution. You can orbit the viewpoint, and you can also move selected objects in the model, and you can change the speed. They claim to support AutoCAD, but not preforming in my computer, maybe I am using AutoCAD 2010, too new that they don't support.
the mouse works very well in Google Earth and Bing Maps, but do not support the newest bing map version. seems the lastest update of its driver was in 2007, I doubt they are not developing newer versions since, it's almost 2010!
Feeling:
Size is VERY large, I can expect it to be larte since there are 3 extra joysticks to clog into the body, but it's larger than I expected, perhaps the largest mouse I have ever seen, looks like a BIG FOOT. Far larger than the MX Revolution. So make a second consideration if you have a tiny hand. Obviously not for girls.
the surface and texture looks and feels somewhat cheap, and the driver interface seems a little amateur. it's hard to control the right joystick in my hand, maybe it's because my hands are small.
Mac issue:
Mac OS or Linux are, simply, not supported.
Overall, first, you must using Windows, then, If you are playing a 3D game and wanna to free your left hand, this may be a good choice, if you need assign tons of mouse bottoms to make shortcuts, that's it, if you use SketchUp or 3D MAX, a lot, this may be a good choice. otherwise, use a conventional mouse or think about some real professional 3D navigators which is not just some Add-ins to the 2D mouse. Kensington PilotMouse Laser Wireless Pro, K72242 Order Now
Wanted to upgrade from optical. Good news is ergomics are great; tracking is excellent, very pleased with that. Only had it a month so can not comment on reliability or battery life. Also, some minor interference (not bad) from my 2.4GHz wireless router. The bad is that I have Windows 7 and Kensington does not support it. Their latest software was written for XP in 2006, yes 2006. I contacted them to ask if they were going to support Win7 and they said maybe down the road, check the website periodically. I told them that if I knew the buttons would be useless I would never have bought it in the first place. They offered me a full refund. I have not returned it yet because I actually like the darn thing!!!Get more detail about Kensington PilotMouse Laser Wireless Pro, K72242.

Low Price Cyber Snipa S.w.a.t. Mouse
This mouse works great. Feels good in the hand, easy to use for extended periods of time. On the fly dpi switching works great in FPS games for sniper rifles. The thumb buttons are a little clustered together, but overall easy to use. The cyber sniper interface is easy to use and the programmable buttons are a nice touch. Onboard memory is also a nice touch, though i have never used the feature myself. Mouse tracks well, and is solidly built. Very nice!Get more detail about Cyber Snipa S.w.a.t. Mouse.

Purchase Xtrac Pro Hs Optical Mouse Pad
I have used this mouse for over 4 years now and it has performed phenominally. I do a significant amount of gaming and photo editing with my PC and this pad performs beautifully in both regards. The slightly-textured, yet still-smooth surface offers nice mouse movements with enough feedback to help you control your rate of movement to the pixel level.
The one issue I have had with this pad is that the textured surface is now starting to come off. It is making the mouse feet dirty and causing some grabbing, so the mouse doesn't move as smoothly as it once did. Again, it has been 4 years, so could just be that I have used it longer than the life expectancy of a gaming mouse pad.
If you are using your mouse pad for simple functions like email, internet surfing, etc you probably don't need this one. However, if you are a gamer, like a nice amount of mousing surface (it's about the size of a normal sheet of paper), and prefer a little feedback from your mouse pad, this is a GREAT one to get.
As an additional piece of information, I use the Logitech MX510 mouse. Great compatibility between the two. For those who have been complaining about the "mouse freak-out" problem, you should switch to a different mouse. The pad won't solve your problem there.Get more detail about Xtrac Pro Hs Optical Mouse Pad.
Order Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse USB
I've had one of these mice for the past five years, during which time I've used it constantly and heavily for gaming and classwork (computer science major). The logitech logo has long ago worn off the back, but it still functions flawlessly after all these years. I'm finally upgrading to a more expensive one with all the fancy features (laser tracking, extra buttons, instantly adjustable sensitivity, etc), but for $20 you cannot get a better mouse than this one. The wireless receiver is rather large, this isn't made for laptops, but it's fine for my desktop and the performance is good - a lot of gamers complain about wireless mice, but I've never noticed any lag or inaccuracy even in FPSes. I have the receiver sitting behind my monitor less than a foot from the mouse, so perhaps that has something to do with it, but it feels no less accurate than any corded gaming mouse I've used. If you use it at greater distances from the receiver (I've been able to use it from across the room, ~10 feet away, larger distances may be possible) the accuracy does become a little spotty, but then I can't imagine wanting to game 10 feet away from the pc anyway so .. for all practical purposes this mouse is perfect. If it only had a couple side buttons, and one-button adjustable sensitivity for FPSing, I'd never buy another mouse; that being said this is a great mouse for $20 and my new mouse will definitely be a logitech, they make these things to last.Get more detail about Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse USB.

I have tried to use a wireless mouse but with limited success. I always return to this great little mouse. Cordless Mini Optical - Blue Storable Wireless Mini-receiver Immediately
I like the mouse for my notebook, but the receiver doesn't stay attached to the mouse very well. I don't think I've had it long enough to decide if this makes a difference in battery life.Get more detail about Cordless Mini Optical - Blue Storable Wireless Mini-receiver.
Belkin Washable Mouse (F5L007-SCROLL) Best Quality
OK - this is a little premature, as I've only used it for one day, but I thought I'd pitch in my 2 pence. First of all mine was not DOA. Everything seems to work fine. Packaging is absurdly complex and excessive for such a small gadget, but there you are.
Plugged it into my iMac (OS 10.5.x) and it worked perfectly. Everything worked, in fact - including the "side scrolling" feature that we were warned would only work in Vista... the only thing that there is no way to map "center click" since the Mac sees it as a generic USB mouse. I suspect at 3rd party driver would fix that, but I never have felt a burning need for center click.
The tracking, as mentioned, is way too fast with default settings. I had to ramp it down to the lower end of the speed setting to avoid crashing from edge to edge of my 24" screen... but it's fine now.
I really like the scroll strip - it's much like the one on the Kensington studio mice (from a few years ago when Kensington actually made products you'd want to buy). It scrolls smoothly for me, but it could be that it's moisture sensitive like some trackpads and is fussier with others' fingers. The side scrolling is clearly an afterthought, given the width of the finger strip - but it works OK. It's no mighty mouse, but for $10 it's good value IMHO.
I like the chocolate brown, but many won't. It's your only color choice. The rubberized coating is one of those soft, velvet-touch sort of satin rubbers, and it does feel a little odd. It's not bad, just odd. The buttons under it are a little spongy because of the coating, but they work OK. I wouldn't call it precise and it wouldn't do for anyone trying to time their sniper fire or "click on the monkey" ;-)
The tracking seems fine, but claiming that it tracks on glass may be a bit rich. It works on my satin finish screen, paper, a plastic bag, my shorts and my mouse pad (crazy idea), but it didn't work on the glossy white iMac case... so glass seems unlikely.
I may buy more for a client of mine whose office gets through mice at a frightening rate. This one looks coffee resistant. I have not yet washed my mouse... not something I usually find that I need to do.Get more detail about Belkin Washable Mouse (F5L007-SCROLL).

HP HDX Gaming Mouse Get it now!
HP designed a terrific little gaming mouse that is perfect for kids and adults with small hands. The design is solidly built with good quality materials and a tight fit. The accuracy and dpi is right on. Very steady for FPS. The only drawback to this mouse is the dpi selector is only one button requiring you to cycle through the settings. At the right price, this mouse is a terrific buy. My second one is on order! Get more detail about HP HDX Gaming Mouse.

iHome 5 Button Programmable Wireless Laser Mouse (Red) Right now
Great product - I bought two of those (blue for work, red one for my daughter's home laptop). I did some research before the purchase, and like this type, because it wasn't too big or too small, not too flashy, but not dull either. Most importantly - the key characteristics I was looking for were:
- wireless
- small USB
- 5 buttons (I think 8 is overcrowded)
- The two 'Back' and 'Forward' buttons conveniently located on the side (I didn't like similar mice with these buttons on top, next to the left-click button). In this way you can use your thumb as a designated finger for them, and keep your forefinger undistracted to operate the left-click, since this remains the most important functionality/button.

Lowest Price SI300 Laser Mouse
I have used a lot of mice in the last 25 years, at school, work, and home and this one is one of the better ones I have used. It is fast, accurate and responsive. I have used it every day for the last 2 years and it has held up well. I have tried optical mice, and wireless mice, but they always seem to stop and jump the pointer, which is annoying while doing graphics, cutting and pasting text, or playing games. It fits nice in my hand and the rubber grip stops slipping.Get more detail about SI300 Laser Mouse.

Onky thing tho it didn't come with the software, you don't really need one this is plug N play hoever if you're a compulsive customizer like me then you'd just go to logitech website and download it. might take you 10 minutes...

Save iConcepts 5 Button Wired Laser Mouse - USB/PS2 (83050N)
First: the reviewer who had problems with the mouse action probably did not uninstall the Logitech software from his last mouse. I had the same problem, uninstalled, and then the mouse action was really excellent.
HOWEVER: The reason I bought this mouse is because I like having the extra buttons to copy/paste. But the mouse comes with no driver, nor does the manufacturer provide on one the website. Buttons 4 & 5 are "hardwired" to be the forward/back browser buttons. So I gave this mouse to my kids and ordered one with true 5-button functionality. Discount 3Dconnexion SpacePilot PRO - 3D motion controller - 31 button(s) - wired - USB
This will be my fourth version of this product starting with the LogiCAD3D SpaceBall, then the SpacePilot (the old top-of-the-line), then a SpaceNavigator at work, and now the newest top-of-the-line version, the SpacePilot Pro. The difference between this and my former workhouse, the SpacePilot, is that this latest version is more sensitive than any previous version I've owned, and it finally has the controls to allow it to be used on other applications beyond 3D design programs.
I'm still new to this version, and as it was with SpacePilot it takes awhile to get everything set up the way you want it and get used to using it. As far as CAD goes, I would never ever go back to the clunky controls that come with design programs, and this new version is smoother on-screen and more comfortable to use.
With a 3D motion controller, you use your regular mouse and keyboard in combination with the controller to rapidly and smoothly carry out multiple tasks at once. Productivity is enhanced greatly. As the Senior Applications Engineer / senior 3D Modeler at a large Ship Yard, I pushed for and obtained permission to supply all of our 3D modelers with these devices.
As for the newer features, I really like the preset views as it removes another set of mouse clicks from my design routine by putting those oft used commands at my fingertips. Above and below those view presets are some nice new motion filtering controls that come in very handy for showing designs to others by allowing super smooth rotation, pan & zoom, etc.
The old SpacePilot had a monochrome LCD screen, but all it did was tell you what the preset buttons did. This new one is a whole new animal. They call it the LCD Workflow assistant, and I think the name is quite appropriate. You now have 10 configurable buttons instead of six, but the part I like the best is the Mail Applet. It allows you to keep an eye on your email, task, and calendar right in the LCD screen -which is all I need most of the time. You can even have RSS feeds scroll through!
I use the Space Pilot Pro, Autodesk Inventor, and 3Ds Max Design to produce all of the free designs and tutorials you can find on my website at: [...]. Get more detail about 3Dconnexion SpacePilot PRO - 3D motion controller - 31 button(s) - wired - USB.
Cheapest Targus Notebook Wireless Rechargeable Optical Mouse
I bought this mouse more than two years ago and I really like it! I love that it's rechargeable and that you just plug in a USB cord to recharge while you're using it - it doesn't even disrupt your process. The down side is that you're using up an additional USB port (2 total) while charging, but I usually don't find it to be a problem for my purposes.
The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because the remote connector (or receiver thing-a-magig - I'm sooo not hip on the techno lingo) has stopped working. It's reacting like there's a short in it... it's just like the others are complaining about that the wires get disconnected because it flips up and down. That's a bummer to me, but I also think that working for 2 years before dying is pretty good - especially for the price (it lasted longer than cell phones do these days)! I think I'll buy another one because it was a pretty good mouse while it lasted and the price is right!Get more detail about Targus Notebook Wireless Rechargeable Optical Mouse.

Cheap iHome 5 Button Optical Notebook Mouse (Black)
I got this for my netbook when I'm traveling and it did take a long time to get here. This was the only retractable 5 button mouse I could find for the price I would pay...and it works awesome. But it's incredibly small, probably better for girls cause I could fit 2 of them in my palm lol.Get more detail about iHome 5 Button Optical Notebook Mouse (Black).
Buying Road Mice Wireless Corvette Mouse (Atomic Orange)
Since I'll never own a Corvette for real (too expensive and a LOT of trouble looking out for it!) I always love it when I can own a Corvette some other way. This little "car" zooms around my computer and gives me a road trip without leaving the house. I did have a little bit of trouble with some sort of "blip" once in awhile that would move the cursor somewhere besides where I had it. I believe this is due to the wireless aspect of it rather than it being a flaw in just this particular mouse, though. And it wasn't a big deal; I hardly noticed it after the first time (it happened maybe three times in an hour or so)and was back in place in a couple of seconds. I had no problems with it otherwise and really loved the look of the little car. I really like that the headlights come on when you click the mouse. One reviewer of the red version of this mouse said that his headlights wouldn't turn off, but this one has an on/off switch on the bottom of the car. And it looks MUCH more cool sitting on your desk than that boring little plain mouse. One caution though, if you have your computer in a high-traffic area and the USB plug-in is on the front or side near where people walk or stand, you need to know that the receiver on this little mouse sticks out 2.5 inches and would be fairly easy to hit and maybe break off if you walked by it too closely. Since I use it for my laptop only, it's not a problem for me, as my laptop isn't where I or anyone else would hit the receiver. But it is something to consider.Get more detail about Road Mice Wireless Corvette Mouse (Atomic Orange).

Buy Saitek Notebook Optical Mouse (Orange)
I bought this mouse for the color, which is very vibrant and looks great on my desk. However, I am very disappointed with the quality of the mouse. After using it for about 8 months, the shiny, clear finish is rubbing/scratching off with no real cause. Since its appearance is the big draw of this mouse, it's unfortunate that it's degrading so quickly.
Also, I was not expecting the mouse to glow, and periodically flash, so brightly, even when not in use. I am posting a picture of the mouse in the dark so that you can see how bright it is before you buy it. I found the bright light annoying at night.
Overall, I also wouldn't recommend this mouse for daily use the way I have been using it. It only has the two buttons and a scroll wheel, which is pretty stiff, so it doesn't have a lot of features or comfort to offer. It would probably be more practical and usable as a travel mouse, since it is too small for most adults' hands, and it wears out quickly. Get more detail about Saitek Notebook Optical Mouse (Orange).

Order SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse (Black)
HORRIBLE. The mouse is smaller than you would think.
No palm support. Looks beefy like the sidewinder,
But It's low profile for a claw grip.
The adjustable Dpi didn't work. Not only that, but it would
also crash my machine. The dpi button and screen on the bottom
is just bad design.
Tracking was the worst I've ever seen. Even with their proprietary
Software. Just couldn't smooth it out enough.
I've tried every gaming mouse out there and will stick with my G9X.

you can monitor the battery level
